returns/exchanges

Return and exchange requests for all items must be made within 5 days of delivery, and are subject to approval. Horsethief reserves the right to deny any unreasonable returns or exchanges, such as on items that have been worn, damaged, or altered. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • After return/exchange request is approved, items must returned in original condition within 10 days, otherwise the it will be cancelled.

  • In the case of an exhe amount of the the returned item will be put towards your exchange. Any overage will be refunded or invoiced if the amount is greater than your original purchase.

  • Customers are responsible for the return shipping. It is recommended that you purchase insurance for the full cost of the item you are returning and keep the receipt. Horsethief not responsible for packages lost in transit.

LAYAWAY

I offer layaway payment plans in up to four installments to be sure that you can have whatever your heart is set on. Send me an email at elizabeth@horsethiefsilver.com and we’ll get you sorted out with a payment plan.

I do not do reserved listings. In order to claim a piece (or pieces) you must start a payment plan. That keeps it fair for everyone.

SHIPPING

We ship worldwide. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.

Please allow 3-5 days for packing and processing on ready to ship items. I make post office runs as frequently as I can. When your order is in the mail you will receive an automated confirmation of shipping with tracking info. 

 I do not offer local pick up at this time.

CUSTOMS

Custom orders are welcome here! At the moment they are close, but let me share the process with you:

  • You send me a custom request using my customs form. If I am able to accept your project, I will send a cost estimate within your budget. The type of projects that I take on are determined at my discretion. I do not accept requests to recreate other artists' work.

  • Once we dial in the details I will send you an invoice. A deposit must be made to get started. Payments can be made in up to four installments.

  • Stones are chosen. Designs are created. You approve a design and I get to work at the bench. I require a minimum of 4 weeks to create your piece. This timeline depends on my workload. Because of the volume of work I do at any given time, it is difficult for me to send status updates on all my orders. Every order is very important to me and I promise I'm working hard to create your piece in a timely fashion.   • When your piece is ready, I will send you photos and a link to your final payment (if needed). Your piece will be shipped fully insured, 2-day priority mail via USPS. If you prefer another carrier just let me know.

  • Disclaimer: If you cannot make your final payment within three weeks of your order's completion please contact me and we'll work something out. If I do not hear from you and/or I do not receive your final payment within three weeks you are forfeiting your downpayment and your custom piece. A change of heart or mind on a custom or personalized piece is on you, not me. These items cannot and will not be accepted for return or refund.

customizations of existing work

Customizations are available for ring sizing, chain lengths, etc. A customization fee will be charged depending on what work is done.

Through the custom/personalization process please keep in mind that everything you will receive is made by hand. No two items will be exactly the same and there will be variations and imperfections adding to the personality of your piece. 

WHOLESALE/consignment

I am currently accepting wholesale new accounts. I will do consignment on a selective basis.

sizing

I have created a printable document with all the info you need to determine your size in rings, bracelets and beyond.

SHOP UPDATES

At this time I do not have a set schedule for shop restocks. I almost always have back stock. If you are looking for a specific design or piece, you are welcome to email me at elizabeth@horsethiefsilver.com to check on the availability. I will respond as soon as I am able. Restocks and new listings are always announced via my mailing list, Instagram, and Facebook. Be sure to follow those channels to keep up to date on what I'm doing.

 

MATERIALS

All my pieces are created using a combination of sterling and fine silver, 14k gold and sometimes brass. The metals that I use are re-milled (recycled). I work with a small group of trusted lapidary sources for my stones.

 

brick + Mortar

I this time I do not have a physical store. My retail shop was located inside of Framezilla in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. I have since relocated to Taos, NM and closed up shop.  

social media

My social media presence is casual. I do not discuss business there. If you have a question or request it is best to send me an email. I do my best to respond in a timely manner. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

 

REPAIRS

I mainly do repairs on my own work. I will do repairs on other jewelry at my discretion.

Please note: I do not do lapidary work and in most cases cannot replace stones.
