NEW MOON DIVINATION FOR TAROT PRACTICE

New Moon energy inspires reflection and release. The New Moon is our primary moon phase. Think of it as the starting point: this is when we plant our seeds. This is also the time to clean house and honor your deepest desires.

Close a door, and a new one opens. The Death card is asks that you release what no longer serves you. In this way you actively hold space for your gifts, manifestations, and intentions that will help you achieve your goals.

consult your tarot for release:

Find the Death card within your deck and look at what cards are around it. These two cards represent what you are being asked to let go of. For example: The cards before and after the Death card in my deck were The Fool and the Five of Wands. This card combination tells me I need to identify distractions and stop engaging with them.

The Fool calling out spontaneous, free-spirited inclinations. The Fool is the first (or last) card of the deck. The Fool’s journey follows the cycle of the tarot through Major to Minor Arcana, starting at 0. This is the very beginning of a new phase and I am being asked to not engage with the non-existent issues my anxiety is creating or any other distractions that would stunt my progress.

The Five of Wands brings chaos. The five’s of the tarot represent conflict or change, and the suit of Wands represents creative energy. Change is coming no matter what, and what is manifesting- that path to what is being created, will be complex. This is not the time to get overwhelmed and allow negativity to cloud my vision.

I hope this exercise helps you cut the cord on baggage and helps to identify a clearer path forward!
